Karlie KandulExecutive President

Hi Georgia DECA!

I am Karlie Kandul, your Executive President and a Senior at Lambert High School in Suwanee, GA. I have been a DECA member for 7 years (started in middle school). I joined DECA to learn business and marketing skills that I will utilize in the future when I open up my own restaurant and also, to get the opportunity to travel and meet people from around the world. This past year, my chapter was the host of a school wide talent show called “Lamberts Got Talent” where we raised over $2,000 for a local charity! My favorite thing about DECA is networking with everyone at conferences!

After high school, I plan on studying Business Management in College and hopefully owning and operating my own restaurant!

Brooke Hataway

Hi Georgia DECA!

I am Brooke Hataway, your Vice President of Leadership and a Senior at West Forsyth High Schol in Cumming, GA. I have been a DECA member for 4 years and joined because of the preparation DECA gives you for the workforce. I have loved being able to network and meet so many business leaders to better my leadership skills. This past year, my chapter created an officer exploration program for chapter. Students had the opportunity to learn about each of our officer positions and how they play a critical role in our chapter. My favorite thing about DECA is the family you build, being able to meet so many new friends from across the nation. After high school, I’d like to double major in business administration and marketing and I would love to eventually become the President of the International Segment of Delta!

Haley Major

Hi Georgia DECA!

am Haley Major, your Vice President of Career Development and a Senior at Rome High School in Rome, GA. I have been in DECA for 5 years (started in middle school). I joined to enhance my leadership skills and to get out of my comfort zone! My chapter hosted a haunted house with the other CTSO’s at my school, it was open for the community to come and walk through. My favorite thing about DECA is getting to not only network with others across the state of Georgia but also people all over the United States.

After high school, I plan to attend Spelman University and major in business.

Amy Ndoye
Amy Ndoye Vice President of Marketing

Hi Georgia DECA!

I am Amy Ndoye, your Vice President of Marketing and a Junior at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. I have been a DECA member for 6 years (started in middle school). I joined DECA because I wanted to get involved into school organizations early on and DECA sounded so cool and easy to get involved with. Each year, my chapter hosts an end of the year banquet where we recognize some of our most involved members, introduce the new officer team, play games, and award superlatives. My favorite thing about DECA is the opportunities it provides to achieve so much whether it’s doing well in competitions, building skills, or becoming involved with leadership positions.

After high school, I would love to go to college at the University of GA.

Quin Petty
Quin Petty Vice President of Finance

Hi Georgia DECA!

I am Quin Petty, your Vice President of Finance and a Senior at West Forsyth High School in Cumming, GA. I have been a DECA member for 6 years (started in middle school). I joined DECA without knowing much about it when my friend asked me in middle school but never regretted it! My chapter does a t-shirt distribution hype day which is at the beginning of the school year for our membership drive. We try to get as many members as we can during the 1st month of the school year. As a celebration, we get cupcakes and hand out all the chapter shirts. It is a super fun kick off to the year. My favorite thing about DECA is the confidence it has given me about my abilities and my future. I’ve learned effective communication and leadership that I feel confident about what I can do with my future!

After high school, I plan to attend the University of GA and pursue a degree in Advertising. I would love to work in marketing communications at a large company such as Disney and have my own dog!

Bobby Gillespie
Bobby Gillespie Vice President of Hospitality

Hi Georgia DECA!

I am Bobby Gillespie, your Vice President of Hospitality and a Senior at North Paulding High School in Dallas, GA. I have been a DECA member for 3 years. I joined DECA because I heard it was a great way to learn professional skills that would be useful for me in college and in my future career. My chapter hosts monthly socials that are open to all our members and correlate with holidays and seasons. In December, we got together at a local venue and decorated gingerbread houses as a chapter. We use the socials as a way to grow closer as a chapter and also an outlet to collect donations or raise money for local foundations or state wide community service projects. My favorite thing about DECA is the community that it creates within high school. I love how DECA serves as a safe place for so many people and an outlet to get of their comfort zone and make new friends.

After high school, I’d like to go to the University of GA and earn a degree in Hospitality Management. I plan to enter the career field and eventually become a Resort Manager for Disney.
