Georgia DECA's calendar of events provides many opportunities for involvement and participation at both the high school and college levels of the organization.
This fall GA DECA will offer a Professional Development Workshop and Officer Training for all GA DECA Advisors and Local Chapter Officers. WorkWinWow is a one day event, held on September 10th and 11th at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center in Covington. Programming will be the same on both days, chapters will choose only 1 day to attend.
Competitions: Advertising Services, Buying & Merchandising, Middle School Marketing and Selling. The top 10 scores (top 5 for Middle School Marketing) in each event will earn a slot to 2020 ICDC.
Next year's Fall LDC will be held October 17-18, 2019 in Atlanta, GA. You can expect energetic pre-conference sessions by your Executive Officers, an inspiring opening session featuring a special presentation by our Community Service Project representative, hands-on leadership workshops, competitive events, and many other activities. All Fall LDC Housing will be handled by Georgia DECA.
This year's Fall Rally will be on Wednesday, November 6th at Six Flags Over Georgia. Come hear a dynamic keynote message and participate in competitive events. Admission will include lunch, free parking, and 10 Thrill rides!
Showcase your leadership skills by participating in Region Competitive Events on December 5,6, 9 or 10. Online Testing will take place prior to the Region Competition. Events that will participate in online testing include: Principles of Business & Administration Events, Personal Financial Literacy Event, and Individual Series Events. Role plays will take place at Region Competition.
Regional Qualifying Events: Principles of Business Administration, Individual Series Events, & Personal Financial Literacy Event
State Events: Team Decision Making, Integreated Marketing Campaign, Professional Selling
Save the Date! This year we will offer 4 DECA/FBLA Hawks Days. Each event will begin at 1pm at State Farm Arena. Flyers and Order Forms for each event will be available soon!
This year’s State Career Development Conference will be held January 30-February 1, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. This will provide a wonderful opportunity for students to shine as they compete among the best in the state in our competitive events program and executive officer elections. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in leadership workshops and trainings.
The DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) is the highlight of the DECA year. Twenty thousand high school students, advisors, businesspersons and alumni gather for several days of DECA excitement. This year’s ICDC will be held April 29-May 2, 2020 in Nashville, TN.
