Hello Georgia DECA! I am Natalie Kandul your 2018-2019 Executive President! I am a senior at Lambert High School in Suwanee, GA! My chapter has recently worked with CURE Childhood Cancer. We’ve held numerous events such as a football tailgate, Chick-Fil-A night, a prom fashion show, and $5 t-shirt sale where all the proceeds go back to CURE.

I have been a DECA member for 5 years. I joined DECA my eighth grade year when I decided to go out on a limb and run for inaugural chapter president. I wasn’t completely sure what I was in for but I later learned all that DECA had to offer and knew it was the perfect organization for me.

My favorite thing about DECA is the opportunities it provides us with. Whether it is competition, community service, or meeting with business professionals it is impacting our future and helping individuals create their own self brand.

My goal after high school is to attend college and major in business administration. I would loe to have the opportunity to travel the world as a travel journalist for a company and be a part of the Disney College Program.

I have been a DECA member for 4 years. I originally joined DECA because I liked marketing/business and a lot of my friends joined as well. However, as soon as I got to know my advisor, Coach Rooney, and tasted competition for the first time, I soon fell in love with DECA. I quickly tried to get as involved as possible in my chapter.

My favorite thing about DECA is the competition. Our events are so applicable to the real world, and it is extremely fun. Plus, I am an extremely competitive person to begin with, so DECA fits this well.

My goal after high school is to attend the United States Naval Academy. There, I want to obtain a degree in maritime engineering, and hopefully I will one day be able to lead one of the major military engineering firms for the United States.

I have been a DECA member since my freshman year of high school. I joined because one of the senior officers at my open house said, “Hey you need to join DECA, it is the best club at this school and you get to go on really fun trips!!” Little did I know that this amazing organization would be so much more than excuse to miss school. I am forever grateful for the impact DECA has made on my life.

My favorite thing about DECA is the lasting imprint it leaves. In just three short years, DECA has broken me out of my shell and has helped me grow into a young leader.
